Quest 2 pass code

Head set won't let me in. It's asking for a pass code or pin. It won't accept the only one I know. I haven't used my headset in about a year. I just downloaded the meta app to my phone today hoping I could some how login with that or change my code. Ive never had the headset ask me for a pin code. It's a number keypad. Im not even sure how to save my games ive purchased to the (cloud). Can any one help me with this issue. When I went to change my password on the app it tells me my email is already in use.

    a few user reported that they were locked out from their headsets because of a passcode that they haven't set. A bug maybe?....but not all users were affected.🤔

    You can't change that passcode anywhere else than inside the headset. A factory reset is the only way to get rid of it.

    The games you have purchased are bound to your account, not to the headset. So, you don't lose them when you do a factory reset.... you just have to download them again.😉

    And your game progress for many games is saved in cloud backup, so you don't have to start from scratch. You can see your cloud backups here:

      I went ahead and did factory reset. Still kept saying email already in use. So  used my wife's email to get a code sent. Then I got a message from Meta saying IM BANNED. AND HAVE 30 DAYS TO appeal. WTH is that about.??? Im totally stunned. Is it because I haven't used my head set in over a year.? I dont get it. I just want to kill some Zombies.

        I can't tell you what's going on. I have the feel users that doesn't use their headsets regularly  have more often problems than user that use it every day. But that's just a theory....... nothing I'm sure about.🤷‍♀️
