Quest 2 v78.1027 Meta AI voice selection edit button greyed out.

V78.1030 update was available and downloaded to Quest 2 headset. After download completed and headset restarted version was unchanged at v78.1027. However when using Meta AI assistant the preferred voice changed to a male voice. After trying to change to my preferred voice selection several times the Edit button on Voice selection greyed out and I can no longer try to change the selected voice.

I tried restarting the headset, disabling Meta AI - restarting - and enabling Meta AI and reloading the firmware via the Software Update Tool. The Edit button remains greyed out and I am stuck with a Voice I dislike.

I will not try a factory reset. With the state of how updates are not installing I have no confidence the my headset will be in a usable condition from a factory reset.

Using my headset is no longer an enjoyable experience. It has become frustrating from the amount of features that randomly become non-functional. The power off hangup/long shutdown sequence is the worst taking up to 10 minutes at times to restart the headset.

    Hey NomadsAnIsland,

Thanks for sharing your experience - it helps us make Meta AI better for everyone!

If you've disabled and re-enabled Meta AI, you may need to selected a personalized voice first before editing it.
Please try these steps to change the voice of Meta AI:

    1. Open the Meta AI app.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Voice.
    4. Select a voice.
    5. Tap Save.

If that doesn't work for you, would you be able to to share a screenshot of the Edit button being greyed out, please? That would be super helpful.

Additionally, please submit a bug report to alert our engineers of this issue.
