That's unusual. If it was an old device I would be thinking screen burn-in but as it's new it's unlikely to be that.
Maybe try a hard reset and if that doesn't work, a factory reset and if that fails definitely contact support and take a screenshot of it so they can see it. Good luck, it must very annoying, hope you get it fixed soon !
