Quest 3 controllers battery drain super fast

I am having problems with various Quest 3 headsets. All the headsets are showing the same issue. The controllers battery is draining super quickly.

The pattern is always the same. I put new batteries and use them once for 1-2 hour session. Then I switch everything off and the next time I switch them on again (the same day in the afternoon, or after one week, or after 1 month) the controllers batteries are dead and I need to replace them again. 

Is there anyone else that is having this issue?

Has meta investigated this? Can you please look into this issue and see if it is a software problem? How could I solve this?

    What batteries are you using, what voltage etc, a controller battery should last like a month or two or even more (in my experience)

    wondder​ it's probably another meta borkdate that's affecting the battery usage. Try turning the controller haptics down or off in the headset settings to save power during use. Remove batteries when not in use, and invest in some rechargeables.

    I'm having a similar issue.  Yesterday I purchased a quest 3 and went through 3 batteries in the first day with the right controller.  The controller and the battery would get super hot.  I returned that device and just setup the new device with the same issue.  Within 1.5 hours it's already burned through two batteries.

    I am having the same issue as “Silkkawa” my meta 3 right controller battery is overheating and draining within an hour. I just purchased my Meta Quest 3 from Best Buy 3 weeks ago. Help!
