Quest 3 left controller joystick

I’ve been having issues with my left controller joystick. It won’t move correctly for a seemingly random amount of time, then after that it works perfectly fine. The problem is that the headset won’t interpret the joystick movements correctly, so for example if I push it to move forward, it may move only slightly forward or not at all. The time that these issues has varied incredibly, from only one day, to many months with the issue. It was endurable previously because the issue only arose for directions like left, right and backward. But now it’s not understanding forward movement. I’ve tried replacing the battery, and factory resetting the controller multiple times, but the only thing that ever works is just waiting for it to fix itself. 

Is there any way of actually fixing that isn’t just buy a new controller?
