Hello. Thank you for your reply.
Let me explain: the game runs perfectly on the highest settings, maintaining a stable 72 FPS. The problem occurs when I press the Meta logo button on the right controller to open the Meta Quest Link app menu while using any PCVR game (Half Life and EmuVR are examples). That's when everything freezes, and if I take off my headset, I can see from the Steam FPS counter that the game drops to 5 FPS or less. If I press the button again to close the menu, the game stabilizes again.
It's as if the Meta Quest Link menu itself in PCVR is slowing down my performance. The problem is that I've been like this for a year and I don't know what solution to apply.
I watched your video. That's normal behaviour.
Steam, Quest Link and Vive do this when opening the menus when running PCVR games at very high settings. Opening the menus adds tremendous overhead to the system that is already being pushed to the max. You will find that if you lower your render settings, the menu performance will be less janky. Also, if you wait for a minute or so after opening the menus, they usually get a bit smoother. I've had Rift S, Vive Cosmos and Quest 3 and been playing PCVR since 2020, and this has been an issue all along. It's just the way that it is.

That's strange, because the same thing happens to me with Half Life Alyx on the lowest settings. I'll try other games.
Now what I've noticed is that SteamVR does the same thing after a while. That might be because of my cable (which shouldn't be the case because it gives me between 2.3Gbps and 3.0Gbps speed), I'll have to see if the same thing happens with Air Link.
Thanks for your reply.
