Quest 3 problems

So my quest 3 has trouble turning on sometimes it works but it will go days where I can't turn it on and then it randomly works again there is no LEDs when charging so I have to just guess if it's charged or not and all this only happens when powered off if I don't let it fully die or power it off LEDs work just fine and it turns on without any trouble

And is there any idea how to fix this or what's causing it

Details? It's like someone walking into a mechanic and saying, "My car is broken. Thoughts?" What troubleshooting steps have you taken?

Just all the basic trouble shoot options holding down the power button for a minute and holding the power button and the volume down button. Tho the option to factory reset has not appeared when doing so. It just randomly powers on then tho whole thing starts again once it's powered off

Have you tried using a different cable or charger? Have you checked the headset USB port for damage, corrosion, debris, looseness?

Yes I have the problem doesn't seem to be charging. It does charge even tho it doesn't show it. But won't power on majority of the time

Maybe it doesn't power on because it hasn't charged and the battery is empty. Just a crazy thought.

That'd be a thought if didn't power on later without being put back on the charger it will charge to 100 with no indicator then just not turn on for a few days then randomly turn on again

Maybe the battery is overheating and triggering a safety cut-off or something.

Maybe just don't turn it off and let it in sleep mode?

I mean, if it works without issues then.......🤷‍♀️

Letting the battery fully die is a bad idea anyway.

Csbeast  I might just note that if you let the battery fully die, you have to leave the headset charging for quite a while (often 30-60 minutes) before the charge LED will come back on. Letting the battery fully deplete can also put it in a state where it refuses to charge, as noted in this Reddit thread:

Today, for the first time, my Quest 3 wouldn't turn on... : r/OculusQuest

So put the headset on the charger when you get the low battery warning and leave the headset charging in sleep mode as Choleni suggested.

But if you're still concerned about the charging issues, you can contact official customer Meta support (live chat, email, WhatsApp) here.
