Quest 3 Right Controller Bricked (SOS Flashing After Link + Charging)

My right Quest 3 controller became completely unresponsive immediately after using Link and then charging the headset.

It is stuck flashing SOS, has no vibration, is not detected by the headset, and cannot be reset or repaired.

I’ve already tried fresh batteries, resets, and repairing with no success.

This controller was in excellent condition. No drops, no physical damage, and very lightly used. The failure happened during normal operation.

I contacted support and was told the device is out of warranty, so no replacement would be provided, even though this appears to be a firmware or hardware failure rather than wear or damage. I’m now being asked to pay for a replacement despite what happened.

I’m posting to see if anyone else has experienced this issue and whether there’s a path to getting this reviewed, as this controller is now completely unusable.
