Haha yeh i dont expect them to fix a thing they never do, got about 45 minuets from it today before it died again, tried other headsets i have and had no problem technology eh, ill just shelf it again till they bring out another i should have stayed with the quest 2 to be honest, it wasnt the best image quality but it was reliable ish, it is definately a firmware issue tho, it proved that today when it showed both controllers active with 80% battery but the app was showing them as off, that means its own firmware isnt compatible with itself
If you're getting connected ok and it runs fine for about 45 minutes, then dies, I don't think this means its a meta firmware issue. Sounds like a system related issue. Check your windows task manager and see if you can identify any processes that may be hogging your system. Also avoid using blotware, including overclocking apps, and check that your pc is running nice and cool since thermal overloads can also cause disconnects. Check your windows device manager for all your usb properties and and if they have a power savings option, turn it off. Other things that can cause disconnects may include a faulty link cable or a poor cable connections that can also be caused by not having your cables properly anchored to your headstrap.
Sometimes I also get controller connection issues. I usually find that removing the batteries for about 10 seconds, then reinstalling them helps, as does a headset restart. Also, making sure your camera lens and controller sensors are clean and you have good room lighting, without any reflective surfaces, or being too close to sunlit windows can cause issues. These little things happen sometime to everyone and it's up to you to try to sort these out, not just assume there's going to be a magic firmware update that will fix everything imho.
If you cannot sort this out and still think that this is a meta software/firmware/hardware relate issue then please be a little more proactive and contact meta support including your log files. You should also file bug reports from your quest home quick settings report icon. Simply complaining about these issues in a user forum isn't going to help much imho.
Sorry I can't be of further help mate. Good luck, bye, and Cheers.
