Hey there, chrisnorts, and thank you for reaching out to the community with this issue! Thank you also for the troubleshooting you have already done, it really helps us narrow down the possible causes! Since the Elite Strap is already removed, and you have tried on several chargers, have you attempted with different cables as well? Another thing you could attempt would be to charge the unit without the facial interface and see if that has any affect. Please keep in mind when attempting to charge the device to always leave it charging for at least two hours before deciding it isn't working.

We'd also like for you to try to force restart the unit by holding down the power and volume button for 30 seconds, or until you hear the boot up sound. If that doesn't work, you can try using USB to get into Updated Mode and selecting Boot Device from that menu (if it will come up).

If none of the above resolves the trouble, reach back out to us with any changes in your symptoms, and we'll see what the best way to proceed will be. Hope to hear from you soon!

Why does it blow air at me when I force boot it up? I am trying to do what you said because I had the same issue, now it just blows air everywhere, and still is as I write. Please Meta, help me.

        Hi there pdutton43,

Thanks for posting into our forum regarding your issue. I see that you've been having difficulty charging your Quest and now it is constantly blowing air, so lets see what we can do to fix it! Firstly, we would recommend to start with a simple battery troubleshoot, please see the steps below:

        1. Let the device completely drain of battery life

        2. Charge the device using a different outlet (different socket)

        3. If possible, use a different charging cable to charge the device

        4. Leave the device to charge for at least 4 hours and try to start up again

Please give these steps a go and report back to us how they went for you! Looking forward to hear back from you.

Mine is doing the same. I've tried all what Chris said and what you guys said and absolutely nothing. Why are y'all selling faulty products. How do I fix this!

Exactly! And doing nothing to make it right. Way too expensive to have these issues. My device is less than 1 month old

  • I have the same problem. Sometimes the headset charges 10-40%, but most of the time it doesn't charge at all even though the charging indicator lights up. Doesn't matter which charger or cable I use.
META: Any update to this problem? Why haven't you fixed this already?

Even I have the same problem I try checking the headset u try booting it down and see but it’s at 16 percent

  • Since my device update my quest 3 totally stopped charging. It shows all indication of charging but nothing happens for a 24hr charge. I read from meta to factory reset and this left me losing some paid games in an account I can't remember the password or username but still it didn't work. This is terribly wrong to give an instruction that don't resolve problems leading to loss of game play and access to games. I have no idea on what to do about this. The head set would be on charge and would get a message to plug in charger. Note the charging port if ok and I have 2 chargers. Nothing is working on the head set.
