Quest 3s mic stopped working

This kind of sounds like I’m asking for help with no real solution.

my quest 3s headset has been absolutely amazing with a bit of lagging but honestly pretty great so far. Recently I was playing VRCHAT and my mic just suddenly stopped working? No issues up until then with my mic.

i’ve done everything, checked the settings a million times on both vrchat and quest,  I restarted my headset, factory reset my entire headset which was a hassle tbh. And I’ve tried it with other applications such as browser and I’ve gotten the notification that my mic is in use, just not picking up my voice.

if I scream really loud or click on the screen is picks up the tiniest bit but it doesn’t really work aside from that.

any help would be appreciated! I miss being able to talk :)

Hi Citrus.Tea! Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

We've just come across your query regarding microphone issues that you're facing and we know how important it is for you to communicate with friends and teammates while in game, so we want to help get this issue resolved for you.

We can see that you have already checked the audio settings in the app and on the Quest itself, and that you have tried using different apps. You have also restarted your headset and performed a factory reset. We appreciate you trying to troubleshoot this on your own, and we're confident that we'll be able to resolve the issues together.

As you have already carried out some troubleshooting steps yourself, please ensure that your microphone is clean and free from obstructions.

    • The microphone is 2 pinholes, located a few inches apart one, on either side of the nose.
    • Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may block the microphone (such as a third-party facial interface, etc.)
