quest 3S microphone stopped working after latest software/firmware update

I am disabled and need the mic to communicate and do speech to text. After the last headset software upgrade/update it has ceased working. completely. I have tried the troubleshooting and I do not have ant aftermarket parts or accessories that weren't on the headset when the mic was working fine.
