Quest 3S red light blinking then no power

Hi everyone,

I was using my Quest 3S normally last night and turned it off.

Today when I tried to use it again, it started blinking a red light while connected to the charger. I unplugged it from the power outlet and plugged it back in, and after that the headset never turned on again.

Now there is no light at all. It does not charge and does not turn on.

The device is less than 1 month old and was bought brand new from Amazon.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

I FROM BRAZIL

    My friend. Don't panic.

A solid red power light on the Quest 3/3S indicates that the headset's battery is dead and it is not charging. You may need to try different chargers or outlets to resolve the issue.

The battery has totally discharged and that's why it's red. The problem is most likely with the wall socket or the cable or the charger itself.

Try a different charger and cable and plug it directly into a wall socket. After some time you will hopefully seeing the light turn to orange as it starts charging. Try it, leave it switched off, plugged in and charging and leave it alone for an hour and see how it goes.. Good luck ☘️🤞🤞

I changed the cable again; I had tested it with the one that came with the Quest3s. I tested another one now and I'll leave it for a while and then let you know.

It was blinking, but after that it stopped blinking and didn't show any repeated red light signals. But I'll leave it and come back with updates.

But I have a question: is this normal?

OK, it can happen if the battery is draining to zero. It will go red. It should start charging soon if that is the situation.. There might be a fault in the headset and if you are unlucky, you will have to return the it for replacement. I hope it's the usual problem which is a totally dead battery.. 🙏

I have the EXACT same problem as you, with my 1 month old meta quest 3. Haven't found a solution yet. Tried many different cables/power block but no success. Might have to return it...
