"Quest Cash in wallet but all purchases fail - 'Feature unavailable' error"

I redeemed a $50 Meta Quest gift card and the Quest Cash successfully shows in the wallet. However, I cannot make ANY purchases with it. Every time I try to buy a game or app, I get an error saying "feature unavailable, please try again later" or "not available right now."

This happens on:

  • The Meta Horizon mobile app
  • The Meta Quest website
  • Directly on the headset itself

What I've already tried:

  • Restarting the app and headset multiple times
  • Waiting several hours (it's been over [X hours - fill in how long it's been])
  • Attempting to purchase different games/apps
  • Checking that the account region is correct

The automated support system only provides hardware troubleshooting and couldn't help with this payment/account issue.

The $50 Quest Cash is sitting in the wallet but completely unusable. This is for my son's account and we just want to be able to use the gift card that was purchased. The app would also not let me add a credit card.

Can someone from Meta support please look into this account restriction issue? Happy to provide account details via private message.
