Same thing here and for many people, I think Meta is waiting until the end of the Christmas sales to regulate the money. You can write to them, they'll just repeat the same thing over and over and nothing will change... there's a mystery here.

Unlikely. This problem has been a thing for some users for years. I haven't had any problems making purchases over Christmas period using credit card and PayPal 🤷♂️.
