Random IPD Shift Issue on Meta Quest 3

I am experiencing a perplexing issue where my Meta Quest 3's IPD randomly shifts.


I have updated my Quest 3 to v78 via the official stable release channel, not the Public Test Channel (PTC). Despite not touching the IPD dial, the display frequently shows "min" for the IPD, appearing randomly every 5 minutes to an hour. This occurs even though I haven't set it to the minimum value or manipulated the dial.


When "min" appears, if I adjust the dial even slightly, it immediately returns to my correctly set IPD of 61mm. However, after another random period, "min" reappears on the display.


I've seen reports of this issue on Reddit, suggesting it might not be an isolated problem specific to my device. The other user who reported this also confirmed they were on the official stable update, not the PTC.

    Thank you everyone for your reports.
    I'm happy to report that the issue has been resolved with update v78.

    Specifically, it was fixed in v78.1027, Build: 5105226.11360.520
    I plan to continue using this version until the next mandatory update is rolled out.

    I have not updated to the very latest v78.1028, Build: 5105226.11360.520 yet, as I am concerned about the possibility of new bugs appearing with that version.

    Previous Versions (for reference)
    For reference, the issue was not resolved in any of the following v77 versions:
    * v77.1027 (Build: 5097426.10090.520)
    * v77.1027 (Build: 5097426.10680.520)
    * v77.1028 (Build: 5097426.10680.520)

    Feedback to Meta
    It seems there must have been some kind of bug in v77. I sincerely hope that Meta will provide updates with stable quality, rather than releasing low-quality updates that introduce new issues each time.

    The correct version is v77, not v78.

    Same here on V77. But on my Quest Pro. The pop-up displays 0.0 and appears frequently.

    Same here I have that issue as well and I just decided I’m not gonna use my quest headset for right now until this is fixed which God knows when this will be fixed
