Reset PIN on Oculus/Meta Quest 2 without factory resetting device

Hi, I wanted to use my Quest 2 today and it's been a while. I am pretty sure I put in the correct PIN to unlock it but it refused to accept it so I guess it wasn't correct. I really don't want to factory reset the entire device. How can I restore the PIN? I have access to my Meta account and the app is still linked to the device. The "PIN" tab on secure.oculus.com didn't do anything after resetting it through there. Thank you in advance.

    5vl​  why don't you want to do a factory reset? It may be the only way to get past the forgotten pin.

    Hi 5vl​ 🙂

    The "PIN" tab on secure.oculus.com is your PIN for confirming purchases...... it has nothing to do with the device passcode.

    As Anonymous​  has already mentioned, if you've locked your headset with a passcode and you've forgotten it, your only option is to reset your Quest to factory settings. There is no way to restore a device passcode.

      It was worth a shot to reset that one anyways. I swear there used to be an option in the app to reset the headset PIN but they seem to have removed it sadly.. Didn't want to factory reset because I'd lose everything thats on the device lol

        I guess, there was/is an option to change the headset passcode - or Pin how you call it -  but that requires to be in the headset.... 

        What's not possible for you, because,...... you know😉
