I checked it right now. It is all by default - nothing changed. I pressed default just in case - still have this issue.
Strange. I have two solved threads where users had similar controller issues. In case you haven't seen them, here they are. Maybe the troubleshooting procedures there might help:
Buttons Unresponsive in Games (Work Fine in Menus) | Meta Community Forums - 1351059
Edit: the other possible problem might be a loose magnet, which is used to detect when your finger "touches" the trigger:
Quest 3 index trigger not detecting finger : r/OculusQuest
Trigger doesn't detect resting finger | Meta Community Forums - 1346463
You could probably test the magnet simply by "touching" the trigger and watching how your fingers react on your virtual hands and avatar.

I will try 2 top solutions.
I also ordered a new right controller, I will message here is it was a hardware issue- inlfweinmet1 month agoExplorer
Ok, I received my controller quite quickly, paired it, and the trigger works. Iām inclined to think it was a hardware issue. My controller had taken hits in the past during games, so it could be some internal hardware failure.

It's strange that it would work in games but not in the main menu, but I'm glad you now have a working controller š.
If the old controller is still under warranty, you could RMA it to Meta.
