Right Display Intermittently Turns Black on Quest 3

Hello,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue with my Meta Quest 3 where the right display stops working and stays completely black. The issue happens almost every time I start the headset. The right display shows nothing, not even the logo at boot, and remains lit but black.

Factory reset and firmware reinstallation did not solve the problem. The only temporary workaround I’ve found is to perform a hard reboot by holding the power button for several seconds while wearing the headset. After this, the right display works normally for the rest of the VR session. However, after powering off and trying again the next day, the issue returns. Sometimes the black screen even appears in the middle of a session.

This seems like a display initialization issue rather than a hardware failure, since the display works perfectly once it starts properly. Could you please advise on how to fix this, or escalate it to your engineering team? OS V78

      The new firmware version V79 did not help, the issue still remains.

    I'm having this same issue with mine. Sometimes, quickly locking and unlocking it helps. Does anyone know of a permanent solution?

    I had this happen in Il-2 BOS, last night,, had to go to desktop and click the controller... I was not using the controllers while flying. I use joystick. All my room lights were on. Does not happen in DCS. Also, Guardian is annoying as I don't use it. I think I found a way to stop it from asking me to set it up a long times ago, but It always comes up when I start the VR after not using it. Guardian needs a switch to just turn it off!
