Software Update Tool Not Working for Quest 2

Are you experiencing issues upgrading your Quest 2 headset to v79 with the software update tool?  I have taken an hour or so to troubleshoot, and the software tool is not displaying a list of headsets in the browser when connecting with a USB. 

The software update page notes that Quest 2 is also included in v79, however I am wondering if they have just given up on Quest 2 updates altogether. My warranty has long expired, and I really do not want to purchase another headset at this time. Thanks!

    Update: Did another troubleshoot, and Quest 2 finally appeared in my browser,  but the installation selection was for v78 only.

    The software update tool will only load the the most current version that is slated to update on your headset. This is usually the version that is currently installed unless the update status shows a a pending update.  You can't jump the queue and go to a higher version ahead of whenever the update servers release it for your headset.

    Basically it reloads your current firmware without doing a factory reset and wiping the local data.
