Hi there JimmySprinkles,
We've just come across your post regarding the issue you are having with your Meta Quest 2 headset not being able to pair with the Meta Horizon mobile app. Knowing how eager you are to get back into the world of VR as soon as possible, we'd love to lend a hand.
Thank you for having made sure that your Meta Quest 2 is on the latest software update. Please follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Ensure the phone is compatible with the Meta Horizon mobile app
2. Ensure the mobile app and headset are on the latest available version
3. Ensure phone and headset are connected to the same network, on the same frequency
4. Ensure that "precise location" and "nearby devices" permissions are allowed for the Meta Horizon mobile app by checking the phone's settings
- If the Meta Horizon mobile app has not been used for several months, the phone may have automatically disabled these permissions
- If previously paired, you may see a notification advising you to turn on permissions. Click "continue" to be taken to the phone's app permission settings to adjust the settings.
5. Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect communication (such as headset covers, etc.)
Should your issue persist after having followed all of the suggested steps, then please send us a private message to look into things a bit further.
