The right antenna of my Meta Quest 3S (where the speakers are located) is creaking.

Good evening, everyone! I was quietly playing on my VR when I recently noticed that when I try to raise and lower the right bar on my Quest 3S (the one that contains the speakers and holds the headband), it creaks (I mean the back part). I'm a little worried about this, and I don't want my Quest 3S to break, so I want to be 100% sure that this is completely normal.

  • OK, I just took mine out of the case and tried it. I However there is creaking from the 3rd party headstrap. I took it off to check the arms (I call them arms, 😁)  without the headstrap and they're not creaking. Maybe it's your headstrap and not the device arm? They are definitely a weak point of the device and have been known to break if they get too much strain so be careful anyway. What you can do is check that the arm is not loose. Moving up and down slightly difficult to move is OK, but if it's moving in and out, towards and away from the headset and feels loose you might have a problem. But if it feels well attached and not loose, don't worry about it.

  • The β€œarms,” as you call them, seem to be securely attached and there don't appear to be any abnormalities, nor do they seem loose. Everything works perfectly, both the speakers and the headband. There's just this creaking noise, but it's very likely that it's completely normal. Thank you so much for reassuring me, my friend! β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ™
