The scale seems off

Hello! Forgive me if this has a known fix, I haven't been able to find one.

So I just got my first VR headset, the Quest 3, and so far everything seems to be working fine, except for one thing. The scale of everything feels a little off whenever I'm in a full screen app, not seeing my environment through the cameras.

I kind of lack the lingo to explain it, but, a few examples: In Resident Evil 4 VR, I see my character's hands as larger than mine, and also the whole world (the environment, the characters), everything seems like it's at a different scale, maybe around 15~20% larger than it should be.

In videos (on YouTube or other websites that provide 180º or 360º VR videos ( those recorded with side-by-side double cameras to emulate eyes), I feel like things are just as large too.

I have tried remaking my boundaries, deleting them from the history and restarting the Quest, setting boundaries again, mapping room, and manually setting the floor level with a controller, and I've tried a few different IPD settings too, it's currently at 68 (my actual ipd), and nothing seems to work so far.

In this first game I bought, I managed to adjust height to a higher eye level than my actual one, which seemed to mitigate the problem just a little bit, but I'm not sure if there is something I could do to recalibrate everything so the Quest understands my height and ipd so the content doesn't look giant to me.

If I failed to do some troubleshooting step or if anyone needs more details, I'll be happy to try and reply. Thanks!

    Hello El_Duardo,

We just came across your post and completely understand how disorienting it can feel when the scale in VR seems off, especially when you're excited to dive into your new Meta Quest 3. We're here to help guide you through a few steps that might make things feel more natural.

Adjust Your Height in Accessibility Settings.

This feature allows you to fine-tune your in-game height, which can significantly affect how the virtual world feels.

Re-center Your View Within the Game.

Sometimes, simply resetting your position can make a big difference. While in a game, press and hold the Meta button on your right controller for about two seconds. This will re-center your view and may help correct the perceived scale.

    Explore Game-Specific Settings.

Some titles, like Resident Evil 4 VR, include their own height or scale adjustment options. It’s worth checking the in-game settings to see if there’s something tailored to your comfort.

We hope these suggestions help improve your experience!
