The stick is frozen and not responding.

After my joysticks started drifting, I bought new ones to replace them. I took the joysticks apart and replaced them, but now one of the joysticks always shows the stick pointing left up. Perhaps I broke something? But there are no visual problems and the cables seem to be in place. I tried old and new sticks, but the result is the same - now the problem is not in the stick. I couldn't find any information online, so I'm writing here. Please help.
