Transfer quest 2 data to my brand new one
Hi my son smashed one of his controllers, so I bought him a brand new full system but we don know how to transfer all his data to the new Oculus, can you please help?

Unfortunately there really is no way to transfer data from one meta quest to another, however you are in luck! In most games meta backs up the data up to cloud servers. Just make sure the user is using the same account as the old headset, download the game and wait 10-15 more minutes AFTER downloading the game [Dont play any games] In this 10-15 minute Period the data should be restored.

I'm wondering if I buy the quest 3, my quest 2 game data sounds like it will transfer in game but does that mean I have to re-purchase all of the games I already paid for so the data will transfer? There is no way to upload all that to the cloud and just download it back to the quest 3?

Thank you! I'm on my mom's phone, and she said she could get me a meta quest 3 for my bday,or christmas! I have a few questions,what games do you play, and did you make sure to actually do this? And or did it work? And,I do nor know how to sign up on my quest 3, I think you need an email? So, do I put my email on the quest 3 and all my information I need on the quest 3 like on the quest 2? I have exactly the same question. I've been looking for an upgrade to the quest 3, but I am not sure if I have to buy the games again. I have many games that value up to $170, so it would be a bummer to not be able to play them.

As long as you log in to your accounts on the new device and set it up using the accounts, you will be able to download the games again without having to repurchase the games.
