tried to use my warranty on my refurbished quest pro, customer service neglected my case

i just reported it as a problem on the meta horizon app every time they tried to do it.

if they dont want customer service agents to be replaced by AI they’ll stop pushing people to go get lawyers and stop trolling people into doing things to destroy the company they inherently work against.

like why couldnt just one person quote the warranty, TOS —ANYTHING— to tell me why i couldnt use my warranty??? i certainly put screen recordings of me opening the very warranty my headset was subject to and scrolling to the exact section, and highlighting the scope of coverage and i even get these folks to reveal that they see the vids and pics before they can lie about it (after which one guy even ran away)

i must ask: is the whatsapp number compromised?

    Hey there GastonYamantaka,

We came across your post and knew we had to respond to give you some peace of mind.

Firstly, there's no need to worry - our agents are manning our WhatsApp channel 24/7!

As for the queries you raised about your warranty entitlement, any repaired or replaced product will be covered by the 1-year Warranty for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or 90 days following receipt of the replacement or repaired product, whichever is greater. So if you had your Quest Pro replaced at any point, these warranty terms will apply.

If you purchased a Refurbished headset from the Meta Store, the Warranty Period for Refurbished Products is one (1) year from the date of purchase or delivery of the Refurbished Product (whichever is later).

You can find all the information you need about our Limited Warranty here!

If you have any other questions or queries, please just get in touch with us via PM by clicking our name, navigating to our page and selecting 'Send a Message' - we're here to help!

i sent the appropriate information in multiple times and was told, without supporting evidence, that that EXACT warranty you just sent wasnt applicable

have y’all ran out of refurbished Quest Pro headsets? thats what support is saying on whatsapp but its not super easy to take their word for anything anymore

  • Dude, you broke your headset by bashing your head against the wall 🤦‍♂️. That's not covered by any warranty!

i was sitting back against my wall and thought i had put a pillow behind my head like i usually do and i tilted my head back and now the wire coming out of the battery pack in is exposed

    Warranty:

Scope: This Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of any refurbished or repaired Meta genuine product

Hitting your head on the wall is not a defect in materials and workmanship. It's self-inflicted damage 😉.

😂😂😂😂 steve_40 He broke it himself and wants a warranty replacement? I think they should make a Dumb and Dumber Part II movie. I wonder who could be the star in that? 🤔

what else is a warranty ever good for even if thats what it was about alone?

A warranty only covers products that are defective coming from the factory and parts that fail due to a manufacturing fault. Just think. Imagine if someone bought a new TV and hit it with a hammer and smashed the screen. Do you think the warranty should cover the stupidity of the buyer? Of course people often have accidental damage insurance in their home insurance policy and can get the TV replaced by the insurer. When customers do dumb things, no manufacturing warranty will cover that.

  • the problem was (and still is) the customer service reps failing to understand the appropriate timing window of the limited warranty and mindlessly telling me over and over again—unprovoked and explanationless even— that the warranty was invalid. i just happened to bump my head recreating one of the (est) 100 bugs ive documented in great detail and reported. it is what it is though. you were never here to help. glad i get to use u to look good though.

So, when did you purchase your original Quest Pro, and when did you receive the refurbished one? Was the refurbished headset provided as a replacement due to a warranty claim, or did you purchase it from Meta?

steve_40 We should ignore him Steve. We're only feeding his frenzy and misplaced ego. We should just let it go. He's living in some sort of paranoid fantasy.

I can't decide if you're trolling us with your ridiculous comments or there is something amiss with you. This is not normal. 😳
