Trouble setting up family account

Im setting up an account for my 10yr old. Ive got as far as entering their name and being given a childs username. Wheb i oress continue, the wheel spins once and nothing happens. Tried it on my phone, on my ipad, on my laptop. Its frustrating. My internet is fine, tried both wifi and mobile.  Turned off my vpn in case that was it. Meta, pls help - this is frustrating. Thanks in advance!

    We saw that you are having trouble setting up your sons Parent Managed account and would like to help you figure out what is going on.

     

    As you have already tried several troubleshooting steps on your own, we would ask you to please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Meta Horizon app as this will give it a change to update to the latest version as well as give it a change to refresh itself.

  • Can you confirm that you are setting up your child as a parentally controlled account through Family Centre in the Meta Horizon app (or through the website), and not as a fully-fledged account? You have to provide credit card info for identity (they will charge then refund 99 cents). It takes a few days to verify your credit card; until then, you will get errors (with no explanation). Try again in a few days and it should work.
