Trouble viewing my 3d photos

I have the Oculus 2 viewer and I have also created several 3d photos on various 3d apps on my phone, however when I load those photos, which are supposed to be the left & right photos), and then view them in my gallery in my quest viewer, they just appear as two photos in 2d, that's it. What am I doing wrong?

    3D photos need to be a single image in a supported stereoscopic format (eg. side-by-side, over-under). You have skipped the conversion step in the production process.

      Update: I figured it out and can now take 3d photos with my smartphone and view them on my quest 2 headset.
