Unable to Access Main Meta (Oculus) Account Due to SMS 2FA Failure in Russia – Request for Support
Hello Meta Support Team,
I’m writing to report a critical issue affecting users in the Russian Federation. When attempting to log in to my primary Meta account (used for Oculus Quest 2), I consistently receive the error:
“You've requested too many codes. Please try again later.”
This happens every time I try to use SMS-based two-factor authentication with my Russian phone number. There are no alternative recovery options shown—no backup codes, no “Can’t access your phone?” link, and no way to proceed.
Because I couldn’t access my main account, I had to create this new forum account just to report the problem.
I kindly ask the Meta support team to contact me directly to help verify my identity and disable SMS-based two-factor authentication on my primary account. I have full access to the email address associated with the account and can provide any necessary proof of ownership.
Thank you for your attention—I hope this issue can be resolved soon, especially for users in regions like Russia where SMS 2FA appears to be blocked or throttled without alternatives.
Best regards,
