unable to connect pro headset despite multiple reinstall and updates.

I have been doing everything I can think of to make this work.  Most recently I did a deep uninstall using RevoUninstall of the Oculus program (which includes all registry entries) and re installed a clean copy.  I used the NVidia developer clean up tool and then re installed the latest driver.  I may have paired it wirelessly using the headset internal software, but it sees the computer name, but does not apparently connect with it.  Now I get a screen with personality icons, which I can isolate with the mouse, but it does not select it or move off of that screen, the same sort of problem as with the connection screen which I have provided to you.  Previously I got to the connect screen with the wireless or direct link boxes.  Nothing happened with either box was selected and highlighted.  The system just stayed on the same screen.  Again, everything suggested by store support was tried to no avail.

Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand that you are having an issue selecting a profile after uninstalling and re-installing the Oculus program and we're happy to help! We have included some steps below for you to try, so that we can get you back into the Metaverse as soon as possible! Can you please:

    1. Uninstall the Meta Horizon PC app using the Control Panel.
      • Learn how on this page.
    2. Delete all Oculus folders from the folder C:\Program Files.
    3. Remove any Oculus folders from the following locations:
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Local
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\LocalLow
      • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Roaming
      • C:\OculusSetup-DownloadCache
      • Note: The AppData folder is usually hidden. Use these steps to access AppData.
        1. Press Windows key + R to launch the Run dialog window.
        2. Type %AppData% in the Run box and click OK or press Enter.
        3. File Explorer will launch to the AppData\Roaming subfolder.
        4. Click AppData in the File Explorer address bar to show all three subfolders in the AppData location.
    4. Download a fresh a copy from our website, then install.
    5. Reconnect the Rift/Link cable and re-test the headset.

If you have any issues with this at all, please let us know.
