Unable to log out of meta quest 3 headset.

I have followed all meta'sinstructions to  log out of my headset [in Facebook; Meta app & headset itself] but I  am being  led in circles with no way to completely log out. I have to return my headset to the shop for replacement and cannot log out. Please help...
