Updated my Quest 3S and I’m having an issue with passthrough.
Maybe someone here can help me figure out what’s going on. I updated my headset and now after rebooting it my passthrough when in my log in screen only, is not working.

That is the correct behaviour. Same on our two headsets.
Shouldn’t it be showing pass through tough? I have a Quest 3S and before this update it showed log in with passthrough, not this grey world.
Yes and no 😁. I've has Quest 3 for 7 months. It always showed the grey dotted screen. After updating to v85 and restarting the headset, it showed the passthrough, but ONLY UNTIL I powered the headset fully off and on, and then lo and behold, it reverted back to the grey screen. For SOME users, they have it the opposite way around 🤪. Go figure, Meta is weird that way.
Anyone else have any insight to this? Is there any actual fix or is there something wrong with my headset?
I get why that caught your eye - once you notice something, it's hard to un‑see it. But from everything we know, it doesn't affect performance or the overall experience. You might get more enjoyment out of the headset by focusing on what it does well rather than chasing every tiny quirk 🤷♂️.
So I just got the v2.1 update. After the restart, I still had the grey dotted screen. Then I powered the headset fully off and on. Now I have a newly designed profile menu with passthrough background. There's a virtual "+" button for adding new profiles, plus a virtual power button underneath to shut off the headset.
I still don't have navigator 🤪.
I don't seem to have any new features EXCEPT that when I activate Meta AI, it now says "I can't do that on this device" no matter what I ask. Before the update, it would just go "ding" 🤪.
The Horizon Feed page still opens in my face when I sign on 🤪.
Well I have Q2 and update to V85 v2.1.1034 and it's bad?
