USB Update loop
I do not want an out-of-warranty paid replacement yet. This appears to be a software/update recovery failure, not physical damage. My Quest 2 is stuck in a USB Update Mode loop. Sideload Update will not open, ADB cannot connect, and Meta Software Update Tool fails with “Cannot connect with ADB.” Fastboot detects the headset, but the bootloader is locked and fastboot continue fails with “Failed to load image from partition: Device Error.” Please escalate this to a supervisor/RMA team and check whether I qualify for a free repair or replacement due to failed system software recovery.
That is unfortunate situation. Unfortunately this is just a user forum. There are no Meta employees here, just us users. You will need to contact Meta Support directly on their website or through the Horizon app.. Good luck. 🤞
