v2.3 and still no navigator UI?? what gives?

Since the navigator ui was introduced I liked it a lot. I used it while on the PTC and was 100% relived that i didn't have to have the ugly grey bar with limited slots for apps i actually use just hanging there all the time. Then an update (which was more a downgrade) removed it and brought the old universal menu back which sucked. Then i hear the navigator is replacing the universal menu permanently - Awesome! except its been several months and 3 version updates since then and my quest is STILL using the ugly menu that is useless to me because i cant put more than one app i actually use on it and its just an eye sore when i using 2d apps. WHY? i get your goofy rollout process but its been months and months and updates keep coming but somehow not updating the UI? theres not even an option to choose? what is this bs?

If you're waiting for a Meta engineer to swoop in here, you might be waiting longer than the Navigator UI itself 😜.

I admire the optimism, but this isn't exactly the secret Meta bat‑signal hotline. It's just us confused mortals down here.

I'm in the same situation.  I used Navigator around v83 firmware and it was taken away by the time my quest 3 was updated to v85/2.1 and never seen again.  I'm on the Public Test Channel.  There appears to be no advantage to being on PTC since the firmware release notes really don't mean you can see any of the things they claim to release.  I just ignore the release notes now since I remembered that Meta is not a tech company first.  They are a social media company trying to do tech.  And, they are pretty bad at it with the meta quest.  I'm thinking they also laid off too many meta engineers recently and the quest customer are suffering from it.

It's the strangest update schedule I have ever seen. I was a pretty new user when I got Navigator, it was v77 or v79 if I remember correctly, then it disappeared on v81 only to come back a couple of days later with a new build number on V81. It's like a lottery. There are no common factors, whether it's where your based or what device you have, it just happens. It surely must be easier just to send the same version to everyone. They have never explained the reason for this situation.. If they did, there might be less frustration. You know,, I actually preferred the old way. I'd swap with you if I could.,😂

It makes me wonder, if I were to make multiple accounts, would they all receive different features? 🤔
