v74 update issue (volume control , pass through mode , boot sound)

Since i update v74 on my MQ3

i have so many problems 

i wonder is there anyone who has same issue

1. Cant use volume control on quick setting menu

i can change volume with MQ3 physical volume control button

but it wont show floating UI which i can see how much i turn on volume up and down Which shows with bar type UI

and also on the quick setting menu, there is slide volume control Ui but even i slide it 

it never changes volume slide when i even push physical volume button on MQ3 

 

2. cant change sometimes pass through <-> immersed mode even i click change mode button on dock and quick setting 

i tried click to change each mode only environment sound shows it react but im stucking in one mode 

 

3. Not working sometime night mode

same like number 2 issue

even i click on quick setting menu

No reaction night mode feature 

 

And i asked to meta and they said i have to do factory reset but i wanna know is there anyone who had same issue and is it really got better after factory reset?

but i heard if u do factory reset

there is more problem sometimes

as like sync controller issue or mobile horizon app sync issue

 

 

EDIT) i tried Factory reset

and after this my MQ3 OS version is v74

and it doesnt have problem that i have

volume control on quick setting menu slide UI is working when i push volume button on device

and i can see v74.1020 new update

i updated this build

and it happens same problem!

i think its bug or error of v74.1020

and i got email from Meta help center

they told me i should do delete cash of system app and safe mode to check it happens same

and turn off any experimental feature

but it still happen same problem..

  • I'm still on the same version, and I've tried to keep updates turned off. but it seems that there was no effect, and the problem reappeared. Waiting for a solution from the meta team. I started to dislike the company more after my Quest 2 LCD stopped working after just a year and two months of use.

  • I tried restoring, turning off automatic updates, and it even resolved it. but just restart or turn off, and the volume slider stops working. I didn't detect other bugs, but it is somewhat annoying to have to use the physical volume due to an interface bug.

    Hi guys
    Today I have good news!

    to remind you guys what I we had problems with v74 Update

    first of all I know someone is not same v74 build number

    problem is happened for me on v74.1020 (Mar.13 generated , 5070966.19510.510)

    Problem :
    1. Quick Setting Volume Slide is not working ( cant change volume with slide OS but it works with physical volume key)
    2. sometimes night mode is not working even I press night mode button
    3. Pass Through <> immersed environment  It didn't change even I doble tap of my head set or click change mode button on universal dock

    4. sometime freezing

     

    and you guys know I tried every thing Meta said 
    Factory reset. hard boot etc

    but didn't fix my problem

     

    and today!

    final I got new OS update and it fixed~!!!

    I wanna share this update with you guys

    Current OS v74.1020 (this is OS have problem that I mentioned)
    and now I got New OS update v74 !! ( but there is not other number name like v74.1020 it just v74)

    it has different build number its 

    5070966.21310.510 

    and after I install new OS v74 update

    every problem that I had is gone~!

    but Little bit changed Quick setting menu UI

    v74.1020
    I had night mode button is next of bright control UI

    and My OS is Korean but only "setting" was English

    new v74
    this UI changed more like old v74 that I had before update v74.1020
    feels like roll back of UI layout



    so after new update my all problem is gone
    just I cant believe Meta Help Support center just told me about this problem
    they will give new refurbished MQ3 if I send to them
    but I knew it its just v74 OS bugs
    they should more investigate of this issue

    not just giving other device 

    that is not really good action to show their responsibility to solve their device and software

     

    anyway I didn't get any other answer from Meta

    but Im so happy its fixed!

     

    only thing I cant understand is

    why my MQ3 is on v74 now
    but I cant use 2d app management feature and improved multi room space setup
    hahaha...  I give up meta

    and just someday it will be work 

    so Im not gonna believe that their release note of OS version is going to be same for every user

     

    I hope this thread is helpful for somebody who has same or similar problems
