So its not just me!! This is ridiculous.
I find that casting from phone before turning the quest on seems to help but is not acceptable.
Same here , i bought my quest 3s 5 days ago and after 2 days menu and toolbar gone , factory reset and one day later when i start the glasses same problem , no menu , no toolbar. What can i do , i'm thinking to return it.

You can if you dont want it but the issue is the firmware that came out 2 days ago, not the hardware

What version??? Your statement is not very helpful. The way Meta rolls out its updates is that people randomly get different versions on different dates, so your comment is meaningless. I'm on v81.1034 (non PTC), updated on 21st October on a Quest 3 and have not experienced this menu glitch at all.
Update: actually, I do have some sort of random glitch when the headset wakes from sleep. Sometimes it only shows passthrough and the menu to select which profile to use does not appear. If I press the sleep button a few times, the profile menu appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears and goes into passthrough mode again. If I double-tab the headset to exit passthrough, it tries to load my new Immersive Home (v81.1034) but fails to load because I have not been able to select any profile, so it gets stuck in the load screen:
The only solution is to restart the headset.
