V81 Bug? Menu won't appear when turning on Quest 3

Recently got access to the PTC for V81, and all seemed fine. But I turned on my Quest 3 and the menu won't appear at all, even after holding down the right controller button and even testing it with hand tracking...

HOWEVER...

This issue seems to be hit and miss. When I was ready to give up and do a factory reset, turned my headset on and randomly the menu appeared again. It sometimes disappears if I leave my headset on standby for a while, and sometimes disappears if I turn it off and on, and sometimes just randomly appears.

Is this a common bug or does anyone have any potential fixes? I have tried launching games from the app and it did work one time, despite it showing the launch and install on headset, even when the app is already installed. I understand it's a beta and could be a bug but wondering if it's just me.

Also, when the menu doesn't appear, if I were to hold the power button, it just shuts down, it doesn't give me the option to reset or anything.

Any help greatly appreciated 😁

    I have over 100 Q2’s and Q3S for my company and this new update has severely affected my ability to operate and is now costing me thousands of dollars. Utterly unacceptable Meta. All of the workarounds for months now are not a solution. Please provide a temporary option to revert back to an older version at this point or we will need to take legal action to compensate missing revenues due to this disastrous update. Thank you.

      Again, how are you on V81 ptc? There is no longer a v81 ptc. It's now a full version v81.1034. Unless you aren't connecting to WiFi to update, you can't be still on PTC as it's now on v83 ptc. In your previous message you just said you had 40 Quest 2 and 3s, now it's suddenly over a hundred. I smell bs. 😂 Are you forgetting your previous bs?

        I'm on latest version and missing menu issue is still there! Having to only go into sleep mode when I switch off as it's only real easy workaround

      "I own 40 meta quest 2 and meta quest 3s. New update has bricked them all. When powering on, instead of going to usual home menu, just goes to a black screen. Worst update of them all. PTC v81"

    This literally just happened to me I was just about to play Beat Saber and then the menu wasn't showing up and my controllers wasn't working I tried to reboot my quest 3 but it still didn't work, Meta you have to fix this bug i will try to put it in sleep mode for a couple of hours and I hope everything will be ok

    Update: so i kept it on Sleep Mode and nothing changed its the same thing my controllers doesn't work and the menu doesn't show up, What should I do now? And I tried to turn off my router for a couple of minutes and nothing happened still the same thing

      Can you try turning your router OFF and then seeing if your headset works normally again, please? Many of us think it's an issue where the UI can't establish a connection to something and locks up.
