Visa payment method declined

Summary of the issue: I am unable to add a payment method to my account. Not on phone app or website (non-mobile). Unable to make any purchases before I removed my payment method too.

I've also been experiencing this issue for the last 3+ weeks. I am at my wit's end, and I just sent an email to Meta via their website before seeing this thread and realizing there are a lot of people having this issue. You would think by now Meta would have had the common sense to send a mass email stating that they are aware some people are experiencing this issue and are working to resolve it. Like others, I also had my pre-order of Quest 3 canceled even though it was fully paid for. Then I went and bought one off Amazon, which arrived next day. I'm contemplating returning it now. All my emails have been ignored. I'm am so fed up with this company.

Having the exact same issue... my ads account card declined (move banks), and have been unable to update it since. Tried different browsers. Tried contacting support (super unhelpful).

Got to the stage where I started to request a return and refund but half way thru it said error occurred and couldn’t complete it- something really gone wrong with Meta site. Only fix I have found after Meta support telling me to do the same thing over and over which doesn’t work was to create a new profile using completely different email and then managed to add payment and purchase apps using same card which had been rejected before- so now my secondary user of my headset can purchase using my card but me as admin using same card can’t and still Meta support has no solution. Don’t think gift cards can be used outside of US and EC/UK so those of us down under are stuffed.

meta support said  the same message many times

I do understand how worrying this may be for you however I have escalated your case to our specialized team and once they have an update they will get back to you within the next 24-48 hours.

now in taiwan you must paid more money to get your quest3

Hey zerobroken and Jodla, I'm seeing a few others have been able to successfully add payment methods to their accounts and make purchases. I wanted to stop by and see if you guys were also able to add a new method. If not, I'll make sure the engineers are aware some users are still having this issue. If there's any extra information they may need, I'll be sure to let you know!

I've been dealing with this for over a month. Support has absolutely no idea what they are doing.

I can't add any form of payment methods. All my previous working payment methods were removed, and can't re add them. And when I have created a brand new email, with a brand new paypal, It comes up as unusual activity and I can't use it.

I CANT EVEN USE STORE CREDIT THAT I CURRENTLY HAVE. DUE TO NOT HAVING A PAYMENT METHOD, AND NOT BEING ABLE TO ADD A PAYMENT METHOD!!!!!!!

It's a joke. 

Tokens are usually used for security things....
Can't be too sure but it seems in your case the authentication is stuffed somewhere.
I had this a few times on Ebay and clearing the cookies and cache for the browser fixed it.
Meta made some changes recently to 'fix' this by logging you out of all open Meta sessions in open browser windows.
You might have noticed that you have to log in now a bit more often.
It does not fix the cookie thing though and same for stored browsing data.
You probably tried a different browser already I guess ?
Did you try all the ways of adding a payment method ?
E.g.: Through your account in the browser, the phone app or by signing up as a verified developer ?
Not sure why but some users are able to add things with one of the above but not all.
