Are you using a PC or Mac? Make sure your browser supports Chromium, and if you are using a Mac, try and find a PC you can borrow to try instead, as using a Mac seems to be more prone to the "unsupported device" issue.

This is a pretty common issue where the Quest 2 gets stuck searching for updates. the system just never grabs the new build. Before doing a factory reset, try:

    • Fully power off the headset then boot it back up
    • Make sure the Meta Quest phone app is fully updated and paired
    • Keep the headset plugged in and on Wi-Fi while checking for updates
    • If it still never finds anything, use the Meta Quest Software Update Tool via USB on PC as the other comment told you to.

If none of that un-sticks it, a factory reset usually resolves the update loop. your purchases are tied to your account, so you can re-download after.
