What part of my system doesn't meet the specs.

Hi all

Sorry if this is solved elsewhere (new to the forum) but my brain is fried trying to set up meta quest link. I have a quest 3, a quest link cable (actual quest cable) connected to PC via usbc 3.2. yet the link app says my PC does not meet the updated specs. My kit is listed below. Any pointers on what's wrong would be very helpful. I cannot get to the speed test section to test the cable but the app did at least recognise the cable.

I may be going about this all wrong but my goal is to pass the video grunt work to the graphics card and hopefully improve the graphics quality in the headset. The graphics aren't bad but I see sites with the same games looking even better.

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

    Hi there Andrew!

We noticed your post and would love to lend a hand here.

From what we can see from your specs, the only issue that we can see is that your RTX5070 isn't yet supported for use with the Meta Quest Link app.

We fully appreciate that this is a very powerful card, and our engineers are always trying to expand on the list of supported GPU's. We recommend that you keep checking in with our Windows PC requirements page for future updates!

We hope to see you in the Metaverse with us soon!

It's the RTX 5070. Simply ignore the error messages and keep on gaming, the card should work.

Thanks. The headset is working but im just not confident that it's working via the card or just on its own and using the link cable for power.  At my age suspicion vies with scepticism on a daily basis...tee hee.

If the game is on your PC, then it is being rendered by your video card and streamed via Link to your headset.

The graphics aren't bad but I see sites with the same games looking even better.

While Link is connected to your PC, right-click on the system tray icon of the Meta Quest Link app on your PC and choose Devices. Click on your headset under "Devices" and another window will appear on the right. Scroll down this window, and you will see settings for Graphic Preferences. You can set a higher Refresh Rate and/or Rendering Resolution. I like to keep my refresh rate at 72 Hz (uses less battery and I can't tell any visual difference with higher refresh rates). However, I have set my rendering resolution to maximum (5408x2912). This gives the highest fidelity in games. If any PCVR games stutter too much with this max setting, you can lower it a bit until you get the best balance between fidelity and performance. My video card is only a RTX 3080, so your RTX 5070 should easily handle it. Enjoy.
