Worlds Desktop Editor Black Screen

Recently upgraded to i9 (16 Core) and from 1660 ti to 5070 ti. Upgraded the motherboard as well but not the storage. I had the desktop editor downloaded with the old setup. It worked on the previous setup. Now it opens and stays black. I have tested many other software including Blender, Unity, and high end games and they all work perfectly. I have also tried uninstalling the editor along with manually deleting every folder/content that didn't get removed with the uninstall. I then reinstalled, but still get the same black screen. It doesn't act like anything is wrong. It doesn't bottleneck the cpu or gpu. I have tried Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling and changing the graphics performance preferences just for tests with no differences.

  • I am experiencing exactly the same thing, however this is after first time installation I haven't seen it work at all

  • Same situation here... went from Rtx 4060ti on Ryzen 8700G to Rtx 5070ti on Ryzen 9800X3D and now I have the black screen in the standalone desktop editor. I will update IF I find a solution.

Hi! I got the same problem, and I can only find version v220.0.0.8.665 now. Do you have any idea where can I find the earlier version? Thanks!!

Earlier version wont help as the program checks for update on start. I can confirm that the latest version is still working for me. Rtx5070ti 9800X3D Make sure you have the latest drivers from Nvidia.

  • I have the same issue, uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing gives a clue except Event Viewer which says "Faulting application name: horizon.exe, version: 2022.3.45.15866, time stamp: 0x66ce5c6c
Faulting module name: libovrbodyp.dll, version: 2.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x1f582cb1
    Exception code: 0xc000001d"

  • Installing the latest version does not resolve for me. I must run the install and repair each time I want to get into the Worlds Desktop Editor to get past the black screen.

  • Does anyone have a copy of an older version of Desktop Ediotr from May??? That's the version I ran when it was working
