3 dots, black screen, no device

I am really struggling over here to resolve my meta link quest situation. I connect my headset to my pc and it shows 3 dots with a black screen. I repaired twice and clean installed once, I reset firewall settings and made sure oculus wasn’t blocked, I set the oculus programs to high performance, I tried all my USB ports, I tried air link, I also opted in to the public beta updated and restarted, and opting out and updating and restarting, I tried deleting the dash folder. 

Oculus mirror shows that there is a black screen with nothing on it. The cable test reports good with 2.1 Gbps.

Trying to start a game doesn’t change the black screen. 

I tried contacting support but they said there’s no device registered, I tried another method to verify and it asked for the serial number, I checked settings and there’s no serial number. 

I have a quest 1, and windows 10. I have previously been able to use meta quest link. Would anyone be able to offer advice or help here?

    This is "planned obsolescence" in action, unfortunately😥.

    The serial number would be on a label on the original packaging. There should also be a serial number recorded on the bottom left of the strap arm and also inside the controller battery compartments.
