3s pairing issue
Having difficulty pairing to my phone. It will find the phone. Mobile app wants a 5 digit pairing code but the 3s is giving me a 6 digit code.

End-to-end backup encryption PIN
If you have cloud backup turned on, you can choose to secure your backups with end-to-end encryption. You'll need to create a 6-digit end-to-end encryption PIN in order to secure your cloud backups with end-to-end encryption. This lets you restore your backups after a factory reset or when you set up a new device.
You can set up your phone as a recovery device should you forget or want to change your end-to-end encryption PIN. You can opt out of end-to-end encryption at any time.
Both codes are digits only. It’s strange. The 3s offers me a six digit code. But the mobile app is expecting 5 digits.

If it still give you a 6 digit code after doing that, bring the headset back to where you bought it and get a new one.
That is totally strange, indeed. Are you sure it is not a "one-time email code"? I believe they are 6 digits.
One-time email codes
Sometimes you may be asked to enter a code that has been sent to your email address. This is usually to ensure the security of your Meta account or enable you to login without your password. Do not share these codes with anyone and ignore any codes that you didn't request.
I don't know if you are able to access the settings in your headset, but if you are able to get into Settings->General->About, it will have your 5-digit pairing code written there.
