Cable link not connecting

Oculus 3 cable link not connecting to PC 10/26/2025

 

I purchased my Oculus 3 a few months ago and it has been working flawlessly since then. On approximately October 22, 2025 when I logged into the cable link app an update was available and I installed it (Version 79.0.0.1143.381). Right after the install I tried to use the cable link and it would not connect to my PC. I have since tried to find the issue with no success.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the cable link app multiple times. Checked my firewall, checked my permission, tried to move my cable to different ports, Googled the problem as well as Reedit with negative results. I have even purchased another cable, which didn’t work. Lastly I did a factory reset on my headset which also didn’t work.

My headset works as it should. The cable I have is recognized by the headset but not the cable link app. My cable even charges the headset when not in use. I am at a lost on how to resolve this issue and need help.

  • Exactement pareil de mon côté ! La seule solution que j'ai trouvé est de désinstaller Meta Quest Link pour de réinstaller l'application sans faire le mise à jour qu'il propose.

    Malheureusement ça ne marche que temporairement car à chaque redémarrage de mon PC Meta Quest Link démarre une mise à jour automatiquement sans même que je lui en ai autoriser l’exécution. Donc obliger de désinstaller puis de réinstaller l'application tous les jours !! (Même en ayant désactivé les mises à jour automatiques)

    currently many users facing the same problem. 

    When your headset is already on v81 but the link app is still on v79 cable link just doesnT work anymore.

    You can enable PTC in the link app, by doing that the link app will be updated to v81. Cable link worked for me again after having headset and pc app on the same version.

    Unfortunately, it seems not working for all🤷‍♀️.... you must try it.

    Go in the link to settings - beta - toggle public test channel.....you can disable it at any time and it will bring you back to v79.
