My left controller suddenly stopped working. I have unpaired and paired, Reset the oculus, and Changed the batteries; it still will not pair. It continues to blink white over and over. Is there a solution for this??? Frustrating!!

I don't have a solution but I'd like to say this same issue happened to me out of nowhere a couple days ago. It suddenly said tracking lost and I assumed the battery needed to be changed, well, no matter how many batteries I tried nothing solved it.
Searched the various solutions that worked for some people like un-pairing the controller and re-pairing in he oculus app... the update appears to be successful, restart headset, no avail, it returns to the constant blinking mode. Even when the headset is off, it's forever blinking.
I factory reset my headset twice and... no dice there either.

I've never dropped or thrown or spilt liquid on the thing, the battery compartment looks fine, cleaned it, alas...

If this is a recent software update issue, I sincerely Oculus addresses it and makes a fix so the headset can recognize the controller again...

I tried for 5 hours, maybe 6, and at this point I'm tired.
It's maddening.

  Yup I did all the exact same things. Also it says the the firmware is updating and that it was successful but then still doesn't pair. This is absolutely ridiculous to say the least.

I was having this issue and my controller started blinking the SOS code. I finally got it fixed by unpairing it and then while repairing it and the app telling me it was updating the firmware I held down the Oculus and y button at the same time until the controller blinked and vibrated and then paired. Then I turned off the Oculus and let it sit for a while turn it back on and it was working fine. This was after several days of going around in circles trying to take the battery out unpairing, re-pairing, updating firmware Etc.

  Well it worked for a couple hours then just randomly unpaired again. I got it to pair back up and it worked fine until I sat the oculus down for a while, went to play som more and it was unpaired again and this time wont pair again... What a PITA

I had the same problem and I used the app to go into headset settings then controllers and unpaired the controller that was blinking, once it was unpaired I click pair new device and followed the steps from there to connect the controller. It worked first try for me don't know if it will work for any of you guys.

kinda late idk why but since the only solution availible was to speak to meta directly and probably get a replacemenet controller i just put the batteries backwards for some reason, no idead if that quicly discharged the capacitors or something but after that it stop blicking sos and just started up as normal once i put the baterries in the right position and linked correctly no idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but it did the trick.

  For now, you and anyone else, please ensure you have removed the battery from the controller for 5-10 minutes, before putting it back in and attempting to pair once again. If the controller is still acting up, we would love to know the version number of you headset, and what kind of headset you have. The system version would be located in the Settings on your headset, under System in the About tab.

  Remove any third party accessories.
  
  Attempt to hard reboot the headset by holding the power button down for 30 seconds.
  
  Of course, if the message is still appearing, let's factory reset the headset after ensuring your headset has recently been backed with Cloud Backup. From there, do let us know how things are looking! We want to make sure we're able to get to the bottom of this!

Okey, I had this issue and was able to fix it on QUEST 3.
1. Right controller light blinking after update, and not working, not pairing, just dead, batteries seem to be fine.
2. Use the phone app to unpair the controller.
3. Try holding the pairing buttons on the controller (B+META BUTTON) for a while until the light stays on.
4. Take the battery out of the controller and put it back in.
5. Test again to see if the quest detects the controller, For me it worked with some glitches.
6. Reset the Quest, and that´s it. After that the controller worked fine.

To me, it seems to be a pairing bug related to recent controller updates.
