Hey Master_5plinter, some of what you're describing seems like you may want to look into your Xbox controller's button mapping, which would be a question better suited for Microsoft Support.
The Xbox controller experience is going to essentially 'replace' the Quest 2 controllers. Since it's meant to 'mimic' the Quest 2 controllers functionality, and the Xbox controller is built for traditional 2D gaming experience, some of it's functionality may not directly translate properly.
I agree seeing this increased functionality of the Xbox controller would be awesome. I'd leave a post on the Ideas forum to have the Xbox controller functionalities be improved on and more integrated whenever utilizing the Quest 2 for PCVR.
