If none of the tips in this thread helps you connecting the Quest with your account on the app, maybe create a new Meta account.
Perfrorm a factory reset again, log in to the phone app with your new account and try if you can pair the Quest with that account. If this works, you can add your old account as secondary account to the headset.
It's not the best solution, but at least you were able to play again.
There is an option to use the headset without pairing it to the app, but this is also just a workaround, not a perfect solution.🤷♀️
