    Hello Robin_Bstard,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Meta Quest Link and its connection issues.

To ensure your connection please follow the steps below:

    • Open the Meta Quest Link app on your computer.
    1. Turn on your Quest headset.
    2. Plug your USB 3 cable into a USB 3 port on your PC and then plug the other end into your headset.
    3. A message displays in VR prompting you to Allow access to data. Select Deny. If you mistakenly 'Allow' the prompt, you must unplug your USB cable from the Quest and plug it back in.
    4. When prompted to Enable Meta Quest Link, select Enable to begin remote rendering using Meta Quest Link.
    • Ensure Air Link is disabled in Settings on the headset.

    1. Select Repair.
    2. If Windows asks you if you are sure you want to open this file, click Yes.
    3. If Windows Defender prompts Windows protected your PC, click More info, and then click Run anyway.
    4. If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
    5. Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you have completed the repair.
    6. Allow the repair process to run, download and install.
    7. Launch the Meta Quest Link app.
    • Install the latest Meta Quest drivers.

    1. Close the Meta Quest Link app.
    2. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command.
    3. Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers. (File path may be different per user based on the install location)
    4. Open oculus-driver.
    5. Open the Meta Quest Link app and then try to connect your headset again.

If this issue persists, please don't hesitate to send us a PM or open a ticket with our team at Meta Store Support.

    Thanks!

  • I'm so glad to here that I am not the only one having this issue !
I received yesterday a replacement for my cable (INIU) because I thought that this was the problem as the charging cable from the quest 3 where not having the issue. But the problem is still there. So, it is not the cable.

Mister or misses from meta quest support, I don't think that their is nothing to do with the Meta quest link software on the pc. Connecting and disconnecting is happening even if no plugged on the PC.

I can send you a link of a video I sent to INUI showing the problem if you want. Please help. It's been 2 weeks I can't use my Quest 3.

  • I shelved my quest 3 for a year and when I came back same thing. It updated, now when I use Link sometimes it works fine for an hour, but always starts shutting off display then turning it back on. I can hear audio while this happens. Now it does it without it plugged in and on standalone mode. Factory reset fixed it for a few hours until it patched to the new UI again, now it's stuck in loop.

Doesn't seems to be the same issue. But, when I found a solution with the support, I'll keep you posted here.

  • Hi there,
So, after chating with the Meta support teams, they exchange my Quest 3 (with a refurbished).

I was not convinced but I have tested it this last week and now it is working perfectly.

So, it may be hard to believe but it seems to be a hardware failure.
