Dedicated AP router for Meta Quest 3

I have a Sky Q router (UK internet provider) which I have connected to my pc to via ethernet. I want to connect my new dedicated TP-Link router via ethernet (to keep the strongest signal), it is set up as an access point, for me to connect my MQ3 to it via Wi-Fi, so that I can play Steam games streamed from my pc. I have been able to get it working both ways; 1, TP-Link to PC via ethernet, and 2, TP-link to Sky Router via ethernet - both worked at the time of testing but which is going to be better when other 'gadgets' get into the Wi-Fi mix on the Sky router - which would be the genuine 'dedicated router'?

  • Streaming to PC should work as long as the headset and PC are connected to the same router. So connect your gadgets to a wifi network on your primary router (Sky), then set up a separate, dedicated 5 GHz wifi channel on your secondary router (TP-Link), which should also have your PC wired to it. But if the PC and headset are not on the same router (eg. through a subnet) then Link will still detect the PC and pair with it, but you will get an infinite loading screen when you try to open the Link dashboard.
