First gen headset

My first gen headset is not being recognized by the meta app. It has sent me verification codes but my headset is not being recognized in the app. Why?  I have factory reset my headset and it has a code but I have no where to put it.

    Having issues where the device doesn't appear through the app isnt ideal at all, so we want to provide a few troubleshooting steps for you to try! If you could attempt the following below that would be amazing:

     

    1. Check to see if the app needs updated.

    2. Close and restart the Meta Horizon app.

    3. Restart your device.

    4. Reinstall the app

    5. Check and make sure the Meta Quest Headset is up to date

  • Warning with a recent issue I'm having if you're on first gen, I found myself having to factory reset the headset (Had to do with separate issues on my PC before I got that fixed lol) If you ever need to do so, uh, do yourself a favor and just don't reset it after finally getting through the set up process with those older things, they're so finnicky and since you can't remove a headset and re-add it after factory resetting it, chances are you'd be better off getting rid of what you have and putting the money toward something more recent instead, I hear there are way less issues lol
